South Africa: RAN Automation Engineer – fully remote

This fully remote role involves close collaboration with customer teams, technical problem-solving, and end-to-end support for project delivery. C-SON, RF parameters, and configuration management. Customer facing – all radio engineers. This is software engineering. What You’ll Do: Serve as the technical bridge between internal teams and customer stakeholders (e.g., RF engineers, tooling teams). Support the delivery of complex projects alongside cross-functional teams. Dive into technical requirements by: Developing and reviewing technical documentation. Reviewing and optimizing configuration parameters and rules. Identifying misconfigurations and providing actionable recommendations. Analyzing network data using Unison . Creating reports and network automations using SQL and Python . Collaborate directly with mobile operators on: GPL configuration topics. ANR rules optimization. PCI/RSI planning and management. What You’ll Bring: Strong experience in telecom/RAN , including C-SON, RF parameters, and configuration management. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex network data and troubleshoot effectively. Experience with Unison , SQL, and Python for reporting and automation. Confidence in working across international time zones. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and comfort working in dynamic environments. Strong project management capabilities. Education & Remote Work Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
