Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Restaurant Business Manager (Equity Participation) Upmarket Restaurant – Cape Town – Western Cape Join a leading upmarket restaurant in Cape Town as their Restaurant Business Manager. We are searching for a dynamic, highly motivated professional with a passion for hospitality, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a track record of driving business growth. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering equity participation and the opportunity to shape the guest experience, lead a dedicated team, and uphold the highest standards of service excellence. Job Requirements – 5–15 years’ successful experience in the restaurant group industry, with proven business development achievements. – Assertive, energetic leader with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. – Demonstrated ability to implement systems and checklists, maintain rigorous standards, and ensure all areas operate efficiently and to specification. – Highly organised, detail-oriented, and intolerant of disorder—committed to perfection in operations, cleanliness, and service. – Proven experience in financial management, including food, beverage, and labour cost control, as well as accurate reporting and payroll administration. – Hands-on management style, capable of coordinating multiple activities and delivering prompt solutions under pressure. – Relevant tertiary qualification preferred (Hospitality Business Growth Management, Hotel/Restaurant Management). Food Safety, Health & Hygiene/HACCP qualification is mandatory; a combination of education and experience will be considered. – Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and basic accounting software. – Comprehensive knowledge of food planning, purchasing, sanitation, personnel management, and operational procedures. – Valid driver’s licence and eligibility to work in South Africa; Cape Town based. – Willingness to undergo background, criminal, security, polygraph, psychometric, credit, and reference checks. – Ethical, reliable, and dedicated to achieving common business growth goals, with a strong community presence.
