Senior Guide / Maintenance Greater Kruger

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Field Guide to join a prestigious luxury private game reserve in the Greater Kruger area. This live-in role is ideal for a knowledgeable and passionate guide with extensive experience in Big 5 safaris and all aspects of bush management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct guided game drives and bush walks, providing engaging and educational experiences for guests.

• Share in-depth knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation through storytelling and interpretive guiding.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of guests, including children, during all activities.

• Assist with general maintenance duties around the property as required.

• Maintain and manage own equipment, including firearms, in accordance with safety regulations.

• Collaborate with the lodge team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements:

• NQF4 qualification in Field Guiding or equivalent.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Big 5 safari areas.

• Extensive knowledge of wildlife, flora, and bushcraft.

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.

• Experience conducting guided walks and working with guests of all ages.

• Own rifle and valid firearm licence.

• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently as part of a team.

Package & Benefits:

• Salary: R15,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.

• Live-in accommodation provided.

• Food allowance of R750 per month.

• Uniforms supplied.

• Work cycle: 3 weeks on, 1 week off.
