<p><strong>Travel Company</strong> that offers <strong>inbound travel packages</strong>, specialising in providing <strong>innovative, high-quality</strong> travel solutions for international <strong>tour operators, travel agents</strong> and <strong>FIT & Group clients </strong>is looking for a <strong>Senior Inbound Consultant</strong> based in <strong>Durban (</strong>hybrid working offered).</p><p>The Senior Inbound Consultant will be responsible for <strong>handling </strong>and<strong> managing inbound travel</strong> requests from <strong>quotation</strong> through to <strong>booking confirmation</strong>, ensuring exceptional levels of <strong>accuracy, creativity</strong> and <strong>service</strong> delivery.</p><p>This role requires a strong knowledge of <strong>Southern African destinations</strong>, proven <strong>operational skills</strong> and proficiency in <strong>Tourplan.</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will play a <strong>vital role</strong> in supporting the <strong>companys growth</strong> and maintaining <strong>high standards</strong> of client satisfaction.</p><p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><p>Handle inbound travel enquiries from international wholesale agents and operators</p><p>Prepare accurate and creative tailor-made quotations and itineraries using Tourplan.</p><p>Negotiate rates and secure services with suppliers to achieve competitive margins.</p><p>Convert quotes into confirmed bookings, ensuring seamless reservations and documentation.</p><p>Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.</p><p>Ensure all itineraries are costed correctly, with accurate and profitable profit margins.</p><p>Monitor and manage booking files to ensure services are delivered as promised.</p><p>Provide pre-departure support, including travel documentation and concierge-style assistance.</p><p>Resolve operational issues swiftly and professionally.</p><p>Mentor and guide junior consultants where necessary.</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p>Grade 12</p><p>A formal travel & tourism qualification</p><p>At least 35 years experience in inbound consulting within a DMC or tour operating environment.</p><p>Strong working knowledge of Tourplan (a plus).</p><p>Comprehensive understanding of Southern African destinations, products, and logistics.</p><p>Proven track record in handling FIT and Group bookings.</p><p>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English essential; additional languages advantageous).</p><p>High attention to detail and accuracy in costing and documentation.</p><p>Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.</p><p>Strong client service orientation with problem-solving skills.</p><p>Team player with a proactive, positive attitude.</p>
