Job Summary

Skills and Qualifications
Proficient in through-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards (or equivalent).
Previous experience in soldering and electronics assembly (typically 2+ years).
Experience working in a manufacturing or electronics production environment is an advantage.
Strong focus on quality and precision in soldering.
Ability to troubleshoot and rework soldering defects effectively.
Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for fine assembly tasks.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and work with small components.
IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001).

Key Responsibilities
Perform soldering tasks (through-hole, surface-mount, and rework) on PCBs and other electronic components.
Assemble and repair electronic equipment as per technical drawings and work instructions.
Inspect soldered joints for quality, ensuring adherence to IPC or company-specific standards.
Identify and address defects, performing necessary rework when required.
Operate and maintain soldering irons, hot air tools, and other equipment.
Ensure all tools are calibrated and functioning correctly.
Accurately record production data, including work completed and issues encountered.
Update process logs and maintain traceability records for assemblies.
Adhere to health and safety standards, including proper handling of soldering materials and ESD (electrostatic discharge) protocols.
Ensure compliance with environmental and hazardous materials handling guidelines (e.g., lead-free solder).
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to address assembly challenges.
Provide feedback for process improvements.
