About the Role
As a Strategic Consultant II, you will contribute meaningfully to the overall sales strategy of our company, driving revenue growth, managing executive relationships, and ensuring the efficient execution of sales and use-case strategies. You will collaborate with data sellers and buyers, lead monetization strategies, and provide accurate sales forecasts. Your role involves negotiating and closing deals, managing risks, and representing the company at conferences and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and Head of Growth to realise business value through the identification and brokerage of significant alternative data trade deals with large banks, insurers, retailers, telcos, etc.
- Responsible for strategic accounts and executive-level interactions.
- Collaborate, lead, and execute monetization strategies and executive relationships across data sellers and buyers.
- Facilitate commercial exchanges leading to deal closures and increase data trade revenues.
- Plan for existing and new/replicable use case adoption strategies for local and international consumption, supporting credit, marketing, data science, fraud and industry consortium solutions.
- Evaluate, test, implement, and document successful data monetisation value propositions and alternative data use cases across various industries.
- Establish data monetisation plans and client value creation roadmaps.
- Conduct regular strategy reviews and roadmap alignment sessions.
- Champion client use-case strategies internally and externally by collaborating with business, product, IT delivery, and legal teams.
- Champion the marketing and selling of strategic data value propositions and inform platform enhancements to futureproof automation engineering.
- Proactively and reactively drive revenue retention and timely renewals through strategic planning and demonstrated value solutions.
- Initiate upsell and cross-sell opportunities through seeding and supporting client growth strategies thereby embedding data value propositions and associated use-cases.
- Participate in the structuring and building of financial models for strategic deals.
- Understand client buying processes including budgeting, contracting, and management of service level agreements.
- Deliver commercial proposals aligned with client strategic goals.
- Justify client budgets, lead negotiations and close significant deals.
- Represent the company at conferences and events to evangelise data monetisation and the use of alternative data to solve problems that matter.
- Maintain an active thought-leadership presence on LinkedIn and write white papers on best practices in alternative data strategy, marketing technology and application of data cleanroom methodology.
Requirements
- 3-5 years consultancy, or chief data analytics officer experience
- Honors degree with 812 years of B2B account management or client success experience, ideally in data sales, SaaS or consultancy.
- Experience working with corporate enterprise accounts and multi-executive stakeholder consultative engagements.
- Ability to sell complex solutions to C-level executives.
