Employer Description Our client is a Food Manufacturing company Job Description Our client who is based in Cape Town has an opportunity for an energetic individual to join their team in the capacity of a QA Manager/Technical Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following: Continuously improve the food safety documented traceability system for the site to ensure proper due diligence. Understand the company food safety and quality management system and ensure proper implementation and maintenance thereof at site level Set up and adherence to training plan that aligns to requirements of quality / food safety management system Implement and monitor performance of GMP and PRP programs in the facility Continuously review quality and food safety risk assessments in line with emerging risks and regulatory requirements Ensuring internal audits are conducted as per internal audit schedule and appropriate action is taken to address deviations Lead all third party/ customer audits for the site and facilitate closing of corrective actions Sign off all new raw materials and packaging for new product development purposes Assist in compiling the necessary information for budget reviews Seek to continuously improve customer relationships through closely working with the internal and external customer Liaise and provide service rating for all external service providers at site level Comply with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirements Participate in personal hygiene checks Any other related duties Qualifications Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or equivalent Supplementary advanced training in Food Safety Systems Skills Minimum 6-8 years experience in food manufacturing At least 5 years quality assurance management experience Must be cutomer orientated Must Pay attention to detail Benefits Provident Fund
