Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to build boilers, pressure vessels, and tanks.
- Mark, shape, cut, and weld steel plate and structural components.
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts, ensuring all dimensions and welds meet engineering specifications.
- Perform various types of welding, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding, on metal components.
- Inspect welding joints and structures for integrity and adherence to industry standards.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair faulty boilers, tanks, and related systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Work with hand and power tools to repair worn or defective parts.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, particularly those pertaining to working with high-pressure systems.
- Adhere to company safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct routine safety inspections of work areas, equipment, and systems.
- Ensure all work is done to the highest quality standards and according to the client’s specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including maintenance reports, welding certificates, and safety logs.
Qualifications:
- Trade Test Certificate:
- Must be a certified Boilermaker (Trade Tested).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Boilermaker in a similar role.
- Proven experience with welding, cutting, and metal fabrication.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, and Arc).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- The job may involve working in confined spaces, elevated platforms, and high-temperature environments.
- Physical demands include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ensure accuracy in measurements, welding, and assembly.
- Strong commitment to safety in the workplace.
- Communication: Ability to work in teams and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Adjust to varying job conditions and tasks.
- Willing to work shifts
