About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate couple to join our intimate operation as Trails Guides and Hostess in a Big 5 environment. As part of our team, you will lead immersive bush experiences, deliver exceptional hospitality, and contribute to the success of our conservation-focused operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-day walking safaris in accordance with reserve regulations and firearm protocols
- Conduct advanced bush walks with strong ecological knowledge
- Deliver interpretive experiences that focus on conservation and environmental education
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and risk management procedures
- Manage trails equipment, firearms, radios, and camp logistics
- Host guests throughout their stay, maintaining a high level of engagement and professionalism
- Assist with camp setup, breakdown, and operational logistics where required
Requirements
- FGASA Field Guide qualification (NQF4 Level 2 preferred)
- FGASA Full Trails Guide qualification (essential)
- Valid PDP, First Aid certification, and rifle competency
- Proven experience in Big 5 walking safari environments
- Strong leadership presence and calm decision-making ability
- Passion for conservation and environmental education
