About the Role
We are seeking a professional couple to join our luxury bush setting in Timbavati, where they will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high operational standards. As a trails guide and housekeeping manager, you will work together to provide an unforgettable safari experience. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who thrives in a small, hands-on environment and is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and safety awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead interpretive game drives and guided bush walks in a Big 5 environment
- Conduct advanced walking safaris in accordance with safety protocols and reserve regulations
- Ensure strict adherence to firearm handling, safety standards, and reserve procedures
- Mentor and support junior guides where applicable
- Manage guiding equipment including vehicles, rifles, radios, and trails gear
- Deliver engaging, educational, and guest-focused safari experiences
- Participate in conservation initiatives and reserve meetings where required
Requirements
- FGASA Field Guide qualification (NQF2 minimum; Level 2 preferred)
- FGASA Trails Guide qualification (Full Lead Trails)
- Valid PDP, First Aid certification, and rifle competency
- Proven experience guiding in a Big 5 reserve
- Strong leadership presence and guest engagement skills
- High level of professionalism and safety awareness
