About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Trails Guide to join a high-end luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area. As a Trails Guide, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guided experiences to guests and ensuring their safety while exploring the private game reserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead guided tours and provide expert knowledge of the reserve’s flora and fauna
- Ensure guest safety and well-being at all times
- Maintain detailed records of guest sightings and encounters with wildlife
- Collaborate with lodge staff to deliver high-quality experiences for guests
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years experience as a Field Guide within a high-end luxury safari lodge
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- DEAT registered (Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism)
- FGASA Level 2 Full Trails qualification
- First Aid certification
- Advanced rifle handling skills
- Valid PDP license
- Clear criminal record
Qualifications
- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent
- FGASA Level 2 Full Trails qualification
- DEAT registration
Salary & Benefits
- R15,000 CTC per month (dependent on experience)
- Provident fund and medical aid benefits while on duty
- Accommodation and meals provided during working hours
