About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Travel Consultant to join the team of a leading luxury travel company, specialising in high-end bespoke travel experiences across Southern and East Africa, with a core focus on the North American market. This is a full-time position suitable for senior, intermediate, or junior consultants with a strong interest or background in the luxury inbound travel sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and quote tailor-made travel itineraries for luxury clients
- Manage all aspects of each booking from initial enquiry to post-travel follow-up
- Ensure the smooth operation of in-country tours and handle any challenges as they arise
- Be available after hours for support while clients are travelling
- Oversee complete tour administration, including service bookings and documentation
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm and reconfirm services
- Coordinate invoicing and payments with the accounts department
- Prepare and deliver professional travel documentation to clients
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in luxury inbound travel consulting
- Strong knowledge of Southern and/or East African luxury travel products
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Proficiency in Tourplan is essential
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively within a team
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in luxury inbound travel consulting (no formal education mentioned)
