About the Role
Our client, a leading water filtration plant operator, is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join their team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining their water filtration plants, including knowledge of membranes, bag filters, pumps, and motors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all diagnostics and analyses to troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely, efficient manner.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain water purification equipment.
- Maintain plants on site and perform regular maintenance tasks.
- Fault find and repairs on site.
- Complete the job task checklist accurately and on time.
- Assist other employees with product and equipment delivery and installation.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Communicate positively with the office, co-workers and customers to maintain positive public relations for the company.
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent
- Drivers License
- Plumbing and pipe fitting knowledge & experience not negotiable
- English with Afrikaans preferred
- Willingness to travel preferred
- Knowledge of Water filtration plants will be an advantage
- Electrical experience advantageous
- Borehole experience advantageous
