Job Summary
Job Overview:Our client is looking for a highly skilled Qualified Panel Beater to join their team in Soweto. The ideal candidate will repair vehicles to the highest industry standards, prioritizing both quality and turnaround time. Responsibilities:
Vehicle Assessment and Repairs:1. Strip vehicles and compare damage against the provided quotation.2. Inform the Estimator of any discrepancies and update job cards accordingly.3. Determine whether parts should be repaired or replaced in collaboration with the Estimator.Parts Management:1. Sign for all new parts received from the store and manage timelines for painting and assembly.2. Ensure all parts are fitted to standard and integrated into the repair process with quality control.3. Track and update all back-ordered parts and address discrepancies.Workshop Operations:1. Maintain a clean and organized workshop and assist with general housekeeping tasks.2. Help move vehicles around the shop and Wash Bay as needed.3. Communicate delays with the GM, Estimator, or Workshop Foreman.Team Collaboration:1. Attend departmental meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment.2. Provide feedback on vehicle parts performance during Work in Progress (WIP) meetings.3. Contribute to discussions on individual customer vehicle progress and targets.
