Assistant Accountant | Luxury Wine Estate | Stellenbosch
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-driven and organised Assistant Accountant to join the finance team at a prestigious luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. This role is ideal for a candidate with a solid accounting background and a strong understanding of financial processes within a hospitality environment.
What Were Looking For:
Grade 12 essential
Degree, diploma, or certificate in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar accounting role
Previous hospitality industry experience advantageous
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with Pastel (Sage) Evolution or similar accounting software
Familiarity with Easipos beneficial
Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Initiative-driven with professional, flexible, and accountable approach
Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Key Responsibilities:
? Capture cash book entries and perform daily reconciliations
? Execute general ledger functions including journal entries
? Manage debtors: issue invoices, reconcile accounts, and follow up on collections
? Handle creditors: capture invoices, reconcile accounts, and prepare payments
? Administer stock invoices and assist with monthly stocktakes
? Manage petty cash and place orders for centralised goods
? Perform general administrative and office duties as required
