About the Role
The Commercial Finance and Forecasting Manager role is a permanent position in the finance sector, requiring a professional with experience in operations and manufacturing to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with expertise in costing environments and proficiency in SAGE, ClickView, and Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with overseas bottlers to ensure the latest production costs are always used.
- Lead monthly/weekly meetings with key staff to inform and decide on which products to bottle overseas, at what prices, and what volumes to bottle based on the latest sales forecast and sales orders.
- Proactively analyze trends in activities within the company and present possible solutions and proactive course correction measures.
- Manage and control monthly variances in stock management, dry goods control, and cost of sales as it relates to overseas bottling.
- Advise that correct procedures are followed for all planning and procurement of stock productions.
- Ensure that all controls are being followed and create the required KPIs accordingly.
- Coordinate customs and excise-related matters to ensure the cost-effective import of wine into South Africa.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Accounting qualification
- CIMA qualification (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with exposure to operations and manufacturing
- Experience working in a costing environment
- Proficiency in SAGE, ClickView, and Microsoft Excel
