About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Cost Accountant to join our team in Stellenbosch. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing production and operational costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing financial insights to management.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain detailed cost models and cost analyses
Monitor, analyse, and report on production and operational costs
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
Perform variance analysis and provide clear explanations to management
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Track actual performance against budget and highlight key variances
Prepare accurate monthly management reports
Deliver meaningful financial insights to management

Requirements

BCom Accounting or similar accounting degree
Strong management accounting background preferred
35 years experience in a management accounting or cost accounting role
Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
