About the Role
Our client, a Global SaaS Technology company in Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands, Cape Town, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial records of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to management and stakeholders.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and report variances.
- Ensure compliance with South African tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.
- Assist and Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA) beneficial but not mandatory).
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a financial accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (like SAGE) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (if mentioned).
- Professional accounting qualification (if applicable).
