Gardens Supervisor Location: Stellenbosch Property Type: Luxury Wine Estate Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a Gardens Supervisor to join a luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the estate gardens, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standard, and leading a team to deliver outstanding results. <h3>Responsibilities: </h3><ul><li>Ensure all equipment is maintained regularly to guarantee safe and optimal performance </li><li>Conduct regular quality checks on work carried out by employees </li><li>Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing parts as required </li><li>Allocate tasks effectively according to individual abilities </li><li>Apply knowledge of gardening techniques, plant care, and flower care </li><li>Maintain gardening equipment and machinery, including mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers </li><li>Operate professional mowing, trimming, and pruning equipment </li><li>Monitor and maintain plant health </li><li>Identify and manage pest problems to prevent damage to plants </li><li>Keep gardens and green spaces tidy, free of debris and litter </li></ul><h3>Requirements: </h3><ul><li>23 years experience as a Gardens Supervisor </li><li>Valid drivers licence </li><li>Familiarity with landscaping design </li><li>Extensive knowledge of regional plant life </li><li>Knowledge of local pests and effective elimination methods </li><li>Understanding of synthetic and natural fertilisers </li><li>Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to landscaping </li><li>Physical ability to lift heavy objects and remain standing for extended periods </li><li>Passion for the outdoors and plant life </li><li>Ability to work independently and under pressure </li><li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks </li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy </li><li>Honesty and trustworthiness </li><li>Good interpersonal and communication skills </li></ul>
