Pass Runner

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Pass Runner to join a luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will support the restaurant team to ensure seamless service and an exceptional dining experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with any reasonable requests from management

• Support waiters and cover duties as required

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of pass areas

• Ensure all mise en place is complete and ready for service

• Polish plates, copper bowls, and cutlery for service

• Safely carry trays with food and beverages

• Be knowledgeable about the menu and estate offerings

• Keep track of all table numbers

• Assist chefs in the kitchen as needed

• Sort and organise empty wine bottles and storage areas

• Place orders for condiments with the chefs

• Provide general support to the restaurant team

Requirements:

• Preferably 12 years previous experience as a pass runner, in a restaurant or kitchen environment

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Comfortable interacting with distinguished clientele

• Well-presented, flexible, accountable, and detail-oriented

• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

• Strong planning and organisational skills
