About the Role
HotelJobs is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team in Stellenbosch. As the first point of contact for our luxury hotel, you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience, managing reservations, and providing top-notch administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare all welcome letters, registration cards, and other arrival and departure documentation
- Greet all guests on arrival, provide a warm welcome, and assist with check-in and check-out processes
- Handle all guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and efficiently
- Manage hotel reservations, including processing bookings, modifying or canceling reservations, ensuring accuracy of all information
- Respond to reservation inquiries via phone, email, or walk-ins, providing relevant information
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth check-in and checkout processes and monitor room availability, room types, and rates
- Telephonic Operations: manage incoming calls, providing assistance and information in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements
- Matric and additional certification in hospitality or related field (advantageous)
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in Protel or Opera (essential)
