Job Summary
Minimum
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Sport, Event and Marketing Management.
- Minimum of 5 years exp. In event planning and management, within the sports industry.
- Strong knowledge of sporting codes, their rules, regulations and standards.
- Proven record of panning and executing sport events.
- Proficiency in event management software.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of sport events, including venue selection, scheduling, budgeting, logistics, and participant engagement.
- Work with marketing, sponsorship, and operations teams to align event goals.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and sponsors for event resources and support.
- Create event timelines and schedules to meet budget and deadlines.
- Coordinate with sports organizations and officials to ensure event compliance.
- Implement marketing strategies to boost event attendance and revenue. Manage event staff, volunteers, and contractors, providing leadership and support throughout
- Oversee event operations on-site, including setup, signage, registration, security, safety and hospitality services.
- Assess event outcomes and gather feedback to enhance future planning.
- Stay updated on sports event trends and technologies to innovate event experiences.
