About the Role
Hire Resolve is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor to join a well-respected firm in Stellenbosch. This position is ideal for candidates with extensive experience in quantity surveying and project management, looking to take the next step in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying from the initial project stage through to completion.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender documentation.
- Evaluate bids, negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure adherence.
- Provide expert advice on procurement and contractual matters.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to management and clients.
- Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and support staff.
Requirements
- BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Registration as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Extensive knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capability.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in software such as CCS Candy and MS Project.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent in English; additional languages would be an advantage.
