Swellendam: ACCOUNTANT CA (SA) – FMCG

What Youll Do: Manage recording and reporting of all financial transactions in compliance with IFRS Ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, reconciliations, and reporting Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and variance analysis Prepare management reports and dashboards to inform decision-making Identify weaknesses in existing processes and implement fit-for-purpose internal controls Document workflows, accounting processes, and SOPs to strengthen accountability Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements Support audits with thorough preparation and engagement with auditors Conduct credit risk reviews and monitor collections and exposure Mentor and train finance team members to enhance skills and operational discipline Introduce dashboards and process automation to improve efficiency and transparency What Were Looking For: Qualified CA(SA) , registered with SAICA 35 years post-articles experience in finance/accounting Proven experience in internal controls, process documentation, and audit preparation Strong knowledge of IFRS and compliance requirements Experience with ERP/financial systems (SAP or similar) Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or production industries preferred Self-starter with initiative, accountability, and attention to detail Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills High integrity and professionalism Why Youll Love This Role: Play a key role in shaping financial processes and controls that support growth Hands-on exposure across accounting, reporting, and operational efficiency initiatives Opportunity to mentor and grow a finance team in a dynamic, high-impact environment Work in a collaborative and supportive culture that values accuracy, integrity, and innovation
