About the Role
Hire Resolves client in the Food Industry is urgently seeking a Warehouse Assistant Manager to join their team in Hermanus, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and ensuring the efficient management of stock, staff, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Help with the day-to-day coordination of the relevant processing, store, and packaging teams
- Oversee the productivity of all team members
- Resolve any problems as they arise
- Full stock control function, packing, and exports
- Effective Warehouse Management
- Effective Staff Management
- Financial management, reporting, and administration
- Compliance and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and Procedures
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification [e.g., Stock Control, Logistics Management, Production & Supervision studies]
- 2 years supervisory/managerial experience in a Food Processing/Production environment
- General knowledge of store management and stock control techniques
- Good written and oral communication skills with fluency in English and ability to write and analyse reports
- Intermediate computer literacy in all modules of MS Office and Google Suite software packages
- Results-oriented with the ability to continuously meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Able and willing to work overtime and night shifts, and have a 24/7 availability
- Valid Drivers license and own reliable transport
