Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Design Engineer (Civil/Structural) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer (PrEng) with at least 5 years of experience and a strong background in infrastructure and building design. The position is based at our Umhlanga office, offering a CTC package of R50k-R70k per month, along with a 13th cheque.

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a registered PrEng.
- Proven experience in design, contract administration, and project management.
- Ability to manage projects from Concept (Stage 1) through to Close-out (Stages 5 & 6).
- Design and project management experience in both civil engineering (infrastructure water, stormwater, sanitation, earthworks) and structural engineering (building design, including multi-storey buildings).
- Proficiency with engineering design software such as Prokon, BIM Revit, AutoCAD, Civilsoft (for Bills of Quantities), Modelmaker, MS Projects, and MS Office.
- Strong skills in spreadsheets/Excel.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within KZN.
Preferred:
- Qualifications and relevant registration in Project Management.
- Experience in overseeing both infrastructure and building projects.
- Familiarity with public sector processes is an advantage but not a requirement.
The successful candidate will work closely with a team of professionals, including architects, senior engineers, town planners, and site agents. The role requires a self-driven individual who is comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for project management and professional tasks.
