About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Bookkeeper with a BCom degree to join our dynamic auditing firm. The successful candidate will support the finance team with accurate record-keeping and play a key role in maintaining financial integrity in line with auditing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports
- Support auditors with documentation and data requests
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform administrative duties related to bookkeeping and audits
Requirements
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 12 years of bookkeeping or finance-related experience (internships included)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
