Qualifications & Experience Matric / Grade 12 preferred. 24 years experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel, lodge, or busy restaurant. Prior experience in a supervisory or senior waiter role is highly advantageous. Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards. POS system experience preferred. Skills & Competencies Excellent leadership and team supervision skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Ability to multitask and coordinate operations efficiently. Customer-focused, with a warm and professional demeanour. Ability to handle complaints calmly and efficiently. Good knowledge of wine, beverages, menus, and pairing recommendations. Ability to upsell and enhance guest experience. Professional grooming and presentation. Ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-paced environments. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to carry trays, dishes, and service equipment. Stamina to work long shifts, including evenings and weekends. Working Conditions Shift-based work including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Fast-paced restaurant, hotel, lodge, or banqueting environment.
