Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the daily kitchen operations , ensuring smooth and efficient service. Plan and execute a seasonal, high-end menu featuring fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Maintain exceptional food presentation and quality in line with 5-star standards. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and excellence in food preparation. Oversee stock control, kitchen hygiene, and food safety regulations. Work closely with the Lodge Manager and Food & Beverage team to enhance guest dining experiences. Ensure all dietary requirements and special requests are catered to with precision. Maintain a sustainable and waste-conscious approach to food preparation.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a senior chef role within a 5-star game lodge, fine-dining restaurant, or luxury hospitality setting . Strong leadership and kitchen management skills. Excellent knowledge of modern and traditional culinary techniques . Passion for locally sourced, sustainable, and seasonal cuisine. Ability to work effectively in a remote lodge environment . Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and stock control. Creativity and a commitment to culinary excellence .
