Wellington: Video Journalist

(Hybrid work environment, with office in Wellington) Bible Media is a Christian Media Ministry that produces and provides content to inspire the Christian Way. Currently, the organisation is in the process of digital transformation, building a more comprehensive digital footprint. They require the services of a Video Journalist with the ability to generate topic ideas that will appeal to their audience and create video content around these topics. Responsibilities Research, pitch, and produce original video stories and marketing ideas Shoot, script, and edit video content for digital platforms Record podcasts Create marketing material to boost online sales Post videos and podcasts on relevant social media platforms Provide user support regarding camera and sound equipment Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification (Videography / Journalism / Media / Marketing / Communications, or other related fields) Previous experience in a similar role of videographer or video journalist (producing and editing of videos) High level computer literacy (video editing software) and digital savvy Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans Detail orientated work style with good time management and organisational skills Creative personality Ethical and value-driven view of life, upholding Christian values Driver’s licence and own transport
