As the Accountant (USA Division), you’ll own the full financial function, from legislation and compliance to reporting and payroll. You’ll navigate multiple currencies, ensure US tax and accounting compliance and provide insight that drives smart decisions and global growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Handle bookkeeping to balance sheet, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Oversee and manage US accounting functions, staying compliant with US tax legislation and financial standards
- Manage US Dollar transactions, currency exchange and international payments like a pro
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, analysing trends and turning insights into strategy
- Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, HR) to ensure smooth and compliant financial processes
- Conduct cashflow forecasting and analysis to support business performance
- Oversee monthly payroll and provide HR support as needed
- Assist with financial statements and internal / external audits
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom in Accounting or Finance, OR a Newly Qualified CA(SA)
- 3 to 5 years’ hands-on experience in US accounting and bookkeeping, or strong exposure to US Dollar transactions, currency management and tax legislation
- Solid understanding of US accounting practices, tax compliance and multi-currency financials
- Experience with Sage
- Analytical, detail-obsessed and confident communicating across global teams
- A true finance all-rounder, not just an auditor. You roll up your sleeves and make things happen
