EyeSpace is looking for an Assistant Laboratory Manager to help us deliver world-class specialty contact lenses from our Durbanville facility.Purpose of the Role:Assist in managing the manufacturing processes for specialty contact lenses, maintain compliance with quality standards, and support continuous improvement through developing and maintaining lean manufacturing systems.Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain lathes, including calibration and maintenance, to ensure uninterrupted workflowProduce specialty contact lenses according to specifications and quality standardsManage manufacturing staff during assigned shiftTroubleshoot manufacturing issues and ensure timely resolutionAssist with overseeing quality management systems and maintaining QMS documentationAssist in developing and maintaining lean manufacturing systemsSupport R&D projects and process innovationCoordinate supply procurement and inventory controlEssential Qualifications & Experience:Minimum 5 years experience in technical ophthalmic manufacturing and finishing environmentsFamiliarity with ISO 13485 quality requirements Proven ability to manage production teams and maintain equipmentEmail your application before 20 December 2025.
