About the Role
Pillango Placements is seeking a highly skilled and experienced German Speaking Medical Donor Coordinator to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. As a key member of our donor support and coordination team, you will be responsible for managing the entire process of potential donor matches, from medical evaluations to transportation logistics and customs clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Notify donors that they have been identified as a potential match for a patient, educating and consenting them and facilitating the management of the process.
- Support medical teams in coordinating national and international donations, conducting donor information sessions, evaluating donor eligibility, managing medical assessments, and ensuring communication with coordinators.
- Oversee documentation, transport logistics, permits, and customs clearance while maintaining relationships with stakeholders and ensuring financial and contractual obligations are met.
Requirements
- Fluent in German and English (written and verbal).
- Good IT skills, including use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in line with POPI and an understanding of donor and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or relevant vocational training.
Salary & Benefits
The salary bracket for this role is around R30k – R35k CTC p/m.
