Our Hotel Reception Shift Leader ensures that every interaction at the front desk is more than just a transaction, it’s the beginning of a memorable experience.

What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for a hospitality professional who leads with warmth, confidence, and precision.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid South African ID
- A Matric certificate (Grade 12)
- Hospitality qualification will be an advantage
- Minimum 2 years of Front Office Supervisory or Reception Shift Leader experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional demeanour
- Confidence in managing guest enquiries, feedback, and complaints with empathy and efficiency
- Experience with hotel property management systems (Opera experience)
- Strong organisational ability, reliability, and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- A calm and motivating leadership style with a team-first approach
What You’ll Do
- Lead the front desk team to deliver seamless, welcoming service from check-in to check-out
- Maintain a professional and efficient lobby atmosphere while managing guest flow and room allocations
- Handle guest queries and resolve challenges with care and professionalism
- Mentor, motivate, and develop your team to reflect the service excellence of The President Hotel
- Collaborate with other departments, housekeeping, concierge, and reservations to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences
- Maintain high standards of presentation and service in all front office areas
- Lead by example, setting the tone for professionalism and positivity throughout the team
