Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver strategic advice on international corporate tax, focusing on double taxation agreements, withholding taxes, and the implementation of Pillar 2 frameworks.
- Author and review comprehensive tax opinions, advisory memoranda, and technical correspondence for diverse stakeholders.
- Lead tax dispute resolution strategies, managing objections and appeals with various revenue authorities.
- Develop and implement Full Finance Function (FFF) structures and innovative cross-border tax planning solutions.
- Collaborate with internal specialists to enhance financial modelling, technical research, and internal knowledge sharing.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- CA(SA) or Qualified Lawyer – a legal background is highly advantageous for this advisory-heavy role.
- 7 to 10+ years’ post-articles experience with a proven track record in international corporate tax, transfer pricing, and African tax jurisdictions.
- Superior technical writing skills and the ability to simplify complex tax structures for client engagement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
- Entrepreneurial drive with the ability to manage projects independently while contributing to a collaborative, small-team culture.
