Western Cape: Model Validation Analyst (Financial Modelling) posted by Network Finance

As a Model Validation Analyst, you will play a key role in validating models used in credit risk, finance, capital modelling, and fraud detection. You’ll work end-to-end on model validations, build challenger models, and collaborate with both technical and business teams to ensure models are fit-for-purpose in a rapidly evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct validations of forecasting and stress testing models.
• Focus on pricing, capital modelling, and IFRS 9 provisions.
• Build and test challenger models to ensure robustness and compliance.
• Collaborate across departments to provide technical challenge and assurance.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Education: Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Data Science.
• Experience:
  • 3–6 years in financial modelling, with a strong background in forecasting, stress testing, and regulatory models).
  • Experience with data mining and predictive modelling.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple model types.
  • Collaborative and proactive, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and business teams.
