Duty Manager | Luxury Wine Estate | Franschhoek
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and service-driven Duty Manager for a luxury wine estate in the heart of Franschhoek.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for guest service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced luxury environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the property while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Package
Salary: R20,000 R23,000 per month DOE

The Role
The Duty Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting departmental teams and ensuring the highest standards of guest service are maintained throughout the property. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage guest expectations, resolve operational challenges and contribute to a seamless guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the property during assigned shifts
Ensure exceptional guest service standards are maintained at all times
Act as the main point of contact for guest queries, requests and concerns
Support and supervise front-of-house operations and guest-facing departments
Assist with staff management, training and performance monitoring
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure presentation and service standards are upheld
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Assist with arrivals, departures and VIP guest hosting
Ensure compliance with health, safety and company policies
Coordinate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth operations
Complete daily reports and administrative duties as required
Requirements
Previous experience as a Duty Manager or in a similar supervisory role within luxury hospitality
Strong guest relations and customer service skills
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Professional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Computer literacy and experience with hospitality systems
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
Valid driver’s licence advantageous
