Procurement Analyst Epping Cape Town

Our wholesale client is looking for a Procurement analyst with 3+ years experience as a Procurement Analyst. Responsible for analysing procurement data, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting the procurement team with insights that drive cost savings, efficiency, and strategic sourcing decisions. This role plays a key part in optimizing the procurement process and ensuring the companys distribution and wholesale operations run smoothly and cost-effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or related field.

3+ years experience in procurement or supply chain analysis, preferably in a wholesale/distribution environment.

Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Syspro, Sage).

Understanding of inventory management, supplier pricing structures, and logistics.

Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key duties:

Analyse procurement and inventory data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize stock levels.

Prepare regular reports on supplier performance, pricing trends, and procurement KPIs.

Support the procurement team with supplier evaluations, contract management, and sourcing decisions.

Collaborate with sales, inventory, and logistics teams to align purchasing with demand forecasts and distribution needs.

Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Assist with tender processes, RFQs, and supplier negotiations.
