Job Description
- Matric
- 5 years sales management experience
- Experience in the retail and industrial industry
- Must be vibrant and energetic
- Must be willing to travel
- Valid drivers license
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve 100% of sales targets
- Attain 100% of gross profit rand targets by ensuring the required retail GP margin
- Drive turnover growth with existing customers
- Increase revenue from newly acquired customers
- Expand sales through the introduction of new products
- Ensure new products contribute at least 8% to total turnover
- Optimize the frequency and cost-efficiency of sales representatives’ call cycles
- Implement and manage a structured sales process to ensure high-quality customer engagement
- Monitor the utilization of training tools provided to sales reps
- Track customer segmentation to prioritize high-value versus lower-priority customers
- Increase adoption and usage of the Rapid Trade platform
- Resolve customer complaints and queries promptly and effectively
- Monitor and ensure timely turnaround of customer returns and repairs, escalating when necessary
- Manage staffing levels within agreed budget constraints
- Achieve Employment Equity targets
- Maintain effective leave planning and proactively manage absenteeism
- Facilitate relevant training and development programs
- Conduct performance reviews, agree on ratings, and set future performance goals
- Provide regular, constructive feedback and coaching to employees
- Enforce disciplinary action when necessary
- Develop in-depth expertise in the full product range
- Set and manage customer expectations regarding stock availability and delivery timelines
