Job Description
Ensure the prompt and efficient service of all meals, and beverages to the required standards.
Ensure that profit margins are maintained, agreed costs are not exceeded through effective control systems
Ensure that restaurant is clean, well maintained and that table settings, including flower arrangements are impeccable.
Ensure that waiters are always correctly and smartly dressed, that they offer professional and courteous service to their customers.
Ensure that storerooms are clean and stocked with the stipulated requirements.
Ensure that barmen / waiters are well trained, correctly and smartly dressed and serve their customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Ensure that consumable and non-consumable goods are ordered, correctly stored and issued to the various department.
Ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all areas.
Attend timorously to customer complaints.
Ensure that reports, procedures and administration requirements are timorously submitted.
Circulate throughout all restaurant, maintaining a high profile with customers and staff.
Hold regular staff meetings.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Formal hospitality management Diploma/Degree preferred
Minimum 2 years management experience in a Food & Beverage Service / Restaurant Management
Computer literate in MS Office, Protel, EasiPos, Micros knowledge an advantage
Attention to detail
Fluent in English
Excellent time management skills
Able to work under pressure
Able to manage people effectively
