Minimum requirements: LLB Degree and Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Minimum 510 years post-admission litigation experience . Extensive experience in High Court & Magistrates Court litigation . Strong drafting, argument, and trial preparation skills. Proven track record in handling a wide range of disputes (commercial, civil, contractual, labour, etc. depending on the firms focus). Ability to generate and manage own caseload while mentoring junior staff. Excellent client service and business development skills. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee a wide range of litigation matters from inception to finalisation. Appear in High Court and Magistrates Court. Draft pleadings, motions, heads of argument, contracts, and opinions. Conduct consultations with clients, counsel, and witnesses. Develop litigation strategies and provide legal advice. Handle settlement negotiations and mediation where applicable. Mentor and guide junior attorneys and candidate attorneys. Grow and maintain strong client relationships.
