About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Travel Designer to join our team at Craven Cottage CC in Cape Town, South Africa. As a key member of our luxury travel team, you will be responsible for developing and managing high-end market bookings focused on East Africa, particularly Tanzania and Kenya. With a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you will ensure seamless booking experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales development efforts for luxury travel bookings in East Africa
- Ensure all booking issues are resolved, and changes are added to the booking as required
- Handle accommodation, flights, transfer, and touring bookings
- Book relevant tickets and accommodations
- Process additional changes and updates after confirmation of the itinerary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date booking files, including agent correspondence, AP correspondence, costings, invoices, and credit notes
- Respond to queries on various matters
Requirements
- At least 5+ years’ experience in luxury travel or hospitality industry
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or Tourism (if applicable)
- In-depth product knowledge of East Africa, particularly Tanzania and Kenya
- Travel Consulting, Travel Management, and Travel Arrangements skills
- Customer Service and Reservations experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of safari destinations and wildlife conservation
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
