About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Travel Designer to join our team at Craven Cottage CC. As a luxury travel specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing high-end market bookings in East Africa, with a focus on Tanzania and Kenya. Your exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure will ensure that every client’s trip is booked and planned perfectly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales development in the luxury travel market
  • Start-to-finish management of East Africa-focused luxury market bookings
  • Resolution of all booking issues and management of changes
  • Addition of developments to bookings to ensure perfect client trips
  • Management of accommodation, flights, transfers, and touring bookings
  • Booking relevant tickets as required
  • Handling queries on various matters
  • Processing additional changes/updates after confirmation
  • Maintaining electronic booking files with agent correspondence, AP correspondence, costings, invoices, credit notes, and updated booking file cover/summary

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years’ experience in luxury travel or hospitality industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or Tourism
  • In-depth product knowledge of East Africa, particularly Tanzania and Kenya
  • Travel Consulting, Travel Management, and Travel Arrangements skills
  • Customer Service and Reservations experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of safari destinations and wildlife conservation
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Proven track record in customer relationship management and developing travel products and services, specifically in the inbound tourism sector
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, email, Internet)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with TourPlan, WISH, or other booking/operating systems
