Western Cape: Setter posted by Hire Resolve

Hire Resolve’s client, a South African company specializing in rigid plastic packaging solutions, is searching for a Setter to join their team in Philippi, Western Cape.

Responsibilities: 

• Identify, report and rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned
• production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.)
• Have an in-depth understanding of
• Product and its quality criteria
• Process (material feeding and drying, injection moulding, reheat stretch
• blow moulding and injection blow moulding)
• General knowledge of all equipment, detailed for assigned equipment
• Mould installation
• Technical principles and drawings (e.g. assemblies and spare part
• finding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric)
• Liaise with Maintenance Manager & Production Manager (in charge) to ensure
  machine availability vs. major maintenance intervals
• Have an overview what needs to be done and report to Maintenance Manager
  & Production Manager
• Give completion dates and fulfill tasks required by Maintenance Manager &
  Production Manager

Requirements:

• 5 years relevant setting experience
• Minimum N2 in Tool, Jig & Die trade theory and trade
  tested (red seal), preferable
• Sound understanding of drawings
• Sound knowledge on H&S and safe
  working procedures
