About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storeman to join our team at Craven Cottage CC in the Western Cape. As a Storeman, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our storage facilities, ensuring that all goods are properly stored, received, and issued to authorized personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Checking and ensuring the items aren’t damaged, is the correct pack size and weight.
- Storing in the correct storeroom or issued immediately to the designated store
- Responsible for implementing stock rotation and ensuring that the goods are within their expiry date.
- Stock receiving and issuing.
- Ensure that the invoices are given to Procurement to process; and report any discrepancies to Procurement.
- Stock takes ensuring that stores balances.
- Receive, check / weigh all food and beverage products delivered to the farm.
- Store Management – packed according to the stock sheet.
- Assist in placing orders
- Ensure the storerooms are neat and tidy; and ensure all stock issued is recorded and signed for.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- A formal qualification will be an advantage
- Hospitality / hotel or restaurant experience in a similar role
- Able to communicate clearly in English (written & spoken)
- Computer literate
- A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with all venue staff.
- Does high-quality work while unsupervised. Be able to take initiative.
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Able to safely lift and easily move heavy items.
- Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
