About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client, a group of companies that offer the very best in wholesale, fresh meat and deli production is searching for a Warehouse/Boxing Supervisor to join their team in Elsies River, Cape Town. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods into and out of our warehouse, while also maintaining high standards of inventory management and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate receiving of goods, ensuring verification against purchase orders and adherence to company standards
• Maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO and FEFO) to ensure freshness and reduce waste
• Supervise storage to optimize space and uphold organizational standards
• Verify and submit documentation for received goods to relevant departments
• Oversee preparation and loading of products according to customer orders
• Ensure proper packing standards and hygiene compliance during despatch
• Address and resolve discrepancies in dispatch volumes with relevant departments
• Monitor dispatch schedules to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction
• Conduct regular stock counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure availability while avoiding overstock
• Review and approve stock adjustments with accurate recordkeeping
• Analyze stock movements to identify trends and improve inventory practices

Requirements

• Experience in identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles for optimizing workflows
• Ability to implement process changes that enhance productivity and reduce waste
• Strong analytical thinking to evaluate operational metrics and identify improvement areas
• Matric Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Combination of office and factory environments. Exposure to cold temperatures, long periods of standing, and physical activity.

Travel Requirements

Reliable car required. Occasional travel to various Excellent Meat sites and client visits.
