About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client, a group of companies that offer the very best in wholesale, fresh meat and deli production, is seeking a Warehouse/Boxing Supervisor to join their team in Elsies River, Cape Town. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the receiving, storage, despatching, and stock management operations to ensure efficient and effective logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate receiving of goods, ensuring verification against purchase orders and adherence to company standards
  • Maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO and FEFO) to ensure freshness and reduce waste
  • Supervise storage to optimize space and uphold organizational standards
  • Verify and submit documentation for received goods to relevant departments
  • Oversee preparation and loading of products according to customer orders
  • Ensure proper packing standards and hygiene compliance during despatch
  • Address and resolve discrepancies in dispatch volumes with relevant departments
  • Monitor dispatch schedules to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct regular stock counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure availability while avoiding overstock
  • Review and approve stock adjustments with accurate recordkeeping
  • Analyze stock movements to identify trends and improve inventory practices

Requirements

  • Experience in identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles for optimizing workflows
  • Ability to implement process changes that enhance productivity and reduce waste
  • Strong analytical thinking to evaluate operational metrics and identify improvement areas
  • Matric Certificate
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or operations within the food manufacturing industry
