Worcester: Junior Production Manager (Citrus)

Our client is a well-established, family-owned agricultural business operating in the heart of the Worcester area. They are currently seeking a Junior Production Manager (Citrus) who is eager to build a long-term career in commercial citrus production and contribute meaningfully to the success of a high-performing farming unit. Minimum Requirements: Energetic, hardworking and self-driven individual with a strong passion for citrus farming. Minimum of 2 years’ relevant practical and technical experience in citrus production. Ability to function under pressure and apply sound, rational decision-making. Strong people skills with above-average communication ability at all levels. In-depth understanding of all citrus cultivation practices. Computer literate in Microsoft 365 Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture. Solid knowledge of fertilisation and spraying practices. Experience with ultra-low volume irrigation systems will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Unit Manager, the successful candidate will assist in managing a production unit of approximately 160 hectares. Establishment, production, labour, packhouse coordination and cost management. Farm maintenance management and administrative duties. Disease and pest control. Fertilisation and irrigation management (pump houses and electronic systems). Overseeing and assisting with citrus harvesting operations.
