Requirements:
Must have FGASA NQF4 Trails Guide Professional Field Guide and FGASA Mentor (Advantage) Rifle Proficiency and ARH First Aid Level 2 Drivers License and PrDP Previous experience as Assistant Head Guide or Head Guide. Sound knowledge of planning, budgeting and departmental administration. Sound knowledge on the applicable / relevant property and company procedures for the department, according to the standards of FGASA and the lodges Guiding culture. Excellent attention to detail, excellent hygiene principles. Guest focus philosophy Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), practicing honest communication Team player with positive attitude, enthusiasm, and emotional control Excellent time management and self-discipline, interpersonal & problem-solving skills. Proactive, use initiative and creative flair when required Committed and loyal, adaptable, and flexible Must work accurately under pressure Leadership skills with passion for development and skills transfer
Duties:
Oversee and train all Field Guide functions according to the FGASA standards Ensure all allocations to be done for all activities You will be one of two registered responsible persons for the company firearms Oversee all workshop and vehicle maintenance Chair and record all meetings Assist in social media platforms Incident management in the event of emergency or evacuation Training, development and mentorship of new/ young guides Conservation on the reserve General service & guest care
