About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Guide to lead our guiding team in Big 5 reserves and luxury 5-star lodges. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success as a Head Guide or Safari Manager, with excellent leadership and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead guiding teams on safaris in Big 5 reserves and luxury 5-star lodges
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior guides
  • Develop and implement effective safari itineraries and plans
  • Manage and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations

Requirements

  • Minimum FGASA Level 2 (NQF 4) or equivalent guiding qualification
  • Valid Trails Guide qualification
  • Proven experience as a Head Guide or Safari Manager
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience guiding in Big 5 reserves and luxury 5-star lodges
