Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel on corporate governance, compliance, contracts, and risk management
• Manage contract lifecycle including drafting, review, negotiation, and digital repository management
• Oversee compliance programs and regulatory matters
• Manage litigation and disputes, coordinating with external counsel when necessary
• Protect and manage intellectual property portfolio
• Handle employment law matters and labor compliance
• Implement risk management strategies
• Conduct legal compliance training
• Support corporate governance activities
• Develop internal policies and procedures
• Lead Social & Ethics committee
• Oversee debt collection processes
• Manage company secretarial functions
• Monitor and ensure BBBEE compliance

Required Qualifications & Experience

• LLB degree
• 5-10 years relevant experience
• Experience in international legal issues and regulations
• M&A experience including due diligence
• Strong track record in managing complex legal matters
• Computer proficiency
• Comprehensive understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and BEE legislation
• Superior negotiation and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
