Job Title: Senior Stress Engineer – Airframe Systems
Location: Airport City – Cape town

Salary:

R60 000 – R80 000 CTC per month

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in stress analysis, particularly in airframe systems.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or NASTRAN/PATRAN.

Beneficial requirements:

• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Strong understanding of aviation industry standards (e.g., FAA, EASA) and structural certification requirements.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and tight deadlines.

Duties and responsibilities:
Conduct stress analysis, ensure airframe integrity, and prepare certification documents. Collaborate with teams and mentor junior engineers. Ideal for experienced aerospace professionals.

• Perform detailed stress analysis on airframe components and systems using advanced engineering tools and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards and regulations during design and testing phases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and testing engineers, to optimize airframe structural performance.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including stress analysis reports, validation test plans, and certification compliance data.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance in stress analysis techniques and project management.
